Potem Falls is a short hike to a tall falls that drops into a perfect swimming hole! This trail is located near Montgomery Creek, CA.

Park in the pull-out on Fenders Ferry Road. There you will find the Potem Falls trailhead. The hike is only 0.6 miles long--you'll likely spend more time enjoying the falls than getting there! Bring your swim gear if you want to jump in the pool. The trail is dog-friendly and open March-October.

Drive is a trek down a rough gravel road but so worth it. You can hear the water as soon as you step out of the car. Seeing the fall from the top of the trail is captivating but nothing compared to looking up at it from the swimming hole. The water is clear and refreshing. There are a couple of rope swings to the left of the fall. Totally worth the trip.
