White River Falls is and easy hike to a beautiful waterfall (90 feet tall) and great swimming hole for the warmer months.
White River Falls is perfect for those looking for an easy hike with great rewards. From the parking lot, it is a brisk walk to a view point, where you can immediately take in the gorgeous falls!
To get down to the bottom of the falls, turn left and begin walking down the trail. You will cross a wide bridge before the trail turns to dirt. The trail is about a quarter mile of downhill. You will then reach an old mill, at which point you should navigate around the lefthand side. From here, climb down the rocks to get a good spot. Take a dip in the refreshing water and enjoy!

White River Falls Reviews
White River Falls is a spectacular viewpoint in OR just a short drive from Hood River. The water flow was incredible on the day we visited and the clouds kept the desert landscape cool.

From the day use area there is a short walk down to the base of the waterfall, not super well maintained but its worth it for the view. There is also an old rustic hydroelectric power plant that you can crawl through and check out. This would be a great place to visit in the summer to take a dip and hangout on the sandy shore. Also if you continue down past the power plant there is a second good sized waterfall that is worth checking out.

Went on a 95 degree day. The water was perfect and so relaxing.

Definitely one of my favorite waterfalls in Oregon. It's about a 2 hour drive from Portland, but you can hit up other waterfalls along the way at Mt. Hood like Tamawanas Falls, Umbrella Falls, Ramona Falls or even Mirror Lake and Trillium Lake. The waterfall is quite impressive up in person. I wasn't amazed by the pictures, but when I actually got there, I was in awe. There are bathrooms and picnic tables at the parking area, so feel free to pack a feast. At the bottom of the trail is an abandoned power plant of some sort which can be used to take rustic photos. Definitely a must visit place if you haven't been here yet.
